Design an Oak & Iron Scenario Contest

Oak & Iron Design a Scenario header

As part of the Summer of Plunder closing weeks, Timber & Sail is hosting a scenario design contest for Oak & Iron. This is a chance for players to put their ideas into action and contribute new ways to engage with the game. The contest will run from now till the end of Summer of Plunder 2025 (August 4th, 2025 @ 10 pm).

    The Challenge

Landing Party - Raid Scenario Card
Raid Scenario for Oak & Iron

We’re looking for original scenarios that offer fresh ideas for players to use in playing Oak & Iron. You can build a scenario grounded in history or fictional gameplay with Hollywood flair. Creativity is welcome, but so is tactical clarity—submissions can range from thematic skirmishes to streamlined competitive missions.

You can format your entry as a single play “card” style entry like those in the core set or a richer full format like some of the other scenarios available here.

    Entry Requirements for the Scenario

To ensure consistency across entries, submitted scenarios should include the following:

    Basic Framework

    • Scenario Title
    • Deployment Zones and Starting Conditions (text description or sketch-style map optional)

    Victory Conditions

    • Clearly defined primary objective(s)
    • Include any secondary objectives if relevant
    • Specify round limits or alternate game-end triggers (Optional)

    Special Rules or Modifiers (Optional)

    • Recommended Force Size (e.g., 50pts, 100pts, 200pts)
    • Any unique rules, effects, or environmental factors
    • Clarify if any existing rules are modified or excluded

Historical or Narrative Context (Optional but encouraged)

    • A brief intro setting the scene or theme
    • Include any inspirations from history, fiction or Hollywood, if applicable

    Submission Format

You can submit your entry as a PDF, Google Doc or plain text in the entry form. You don’t have to worry about it being super pretty or formatted.

    • Submit as a typed document (.docx, PDF, or plain text)
    • One file per scenario submission; multiple entries are welcome, but should be done as separate entries.

    What Do You Win?

One participant will be selected to receive a set of premium Oak & Iron dice provided by Baron of Dice. These dice are crafted specifically for the game and offer a high-quality upgrade for your tabletop sessions.

    How To Enter

    • Submit your entry using the Entry Form below.
    • Each scenario counts as one entry—you may submit multiple times
    • A random winner will be drawn from all entries on August 4th 2025 @ 10 pm at the close of the contest.
    • All submissions will be shared on TimberAndSail.com
    • No purchase necessary

If you’ve got more than one idea, feel free to send them all. Each scenario enters you into the drawing.
